Levels of Care

One community, four ways to receive care.

Residents move between levels of care as needs change, without changing buildings, routines, or the people they trust.

Skilled Nursing

24-hour licensed nursing care for residents managing complex or chronic medical conditions, coordinated with your physician.

Short-Term Rehabilitation

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy after a hospital stay, surgery, or fall — with a goal of getting you home.

Long-Term Residential Care

A permanent home with daily support, a full activities calendar, and a care team that becomes family.

Memory Care

A secured, low-stimulation neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer's or related dementia, staffed by specially trained caregivers.

Bedside & Home Care

Skilled care delivered at your bedside, wherever home is.

For families who'd rather keep a loved one at home, Amani Care Ltd places qualified nursing and medical staff directly into the household — on your schedule.

Live-In Nurse

A dedicated nurse who lives with your family member around the clock, providing continuous monitoring, medication management, and hands-on support day and night.

Part-Time Nurse

Scheduled visits — daily, several times a week, or as agreed — for medication administration, wound care, and vitals monitoring at home.

Physiotherapist

Mobility and rehabilitation support delivered at the bedside by a licensed physiotherapist, helping clients regain strength after illness, injury, or surgery.

On-Call Doctor

A doctor on call for medical assessments, prescriptions, and urgent guidance, coordinating closely with the nursing team so care decisions are never delayed.

Specialist Services

Support that goes beyond nursing care.

Alongside residential and rehabilitative care, Amani Care Ltd offers two specialist services open to residents, families, and the wider community.

Frequently Asked

Common questions from families.

Do you accept health insurance?

We work with several private health insurance providers in Uganda, and our billing team can confirm what your specific plan covers before you commit to anything.

What's the difference between skilled nursing and long-term care?

Skilled nursing is typically short-term, medically intensive care — often following a hospital stay. Long-term care is an ongoing residential arrangement for people who need daily support but not hospital-level treatment.

Can I tour before making a decision?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Tours can be scheduled same-week and typically run about 45 minutes, including time with our admissions nurse.

What are visiting hours for family?

Families are welcome daily from 8am to 8pm, with flexibility for special circumstances — just check in with the front desk on arrival.
